What is BioProtect?

BIOPROTECT is an EPA registered, antimicrobial technology that provides persistent, continuous protection against harmful microbial germs including bacteria,fungi,algae and yeast.
Apply it to any surface and it forms a covalent bond to inhibit germ growth on any surface.

How is BioProtect different from other antimicrobials on the market?

BIOPROTECT is unlike any other antimicrobial on the market with its ability to provide persistent, continuous, protection from germs and other harmful microorganisms. BioProtect is safe for people, pets and the environment. It does not use poisons,harmful chemicals or heavy metals to kill germs, instead applies a mechanical kill technology thus diminishing the creation of superbugs.

What types of microbes does BioProtect protect against?

E.coli, Staphylococcus, mold, mildew, algae, fungi, viruses, MRSA, C.diff, H1N1 and any other dangerous microorganisms that are able to grow on a surface.

How does BioProtect work?

BIOPROTECT kills microbes by piercing and rupturing the cell membrane of each microbe. This kill method prevents microbes from mutating and becoming resistant to BIOPROTECT, so no antimicrobial resistant strains or superbugs are created.
BIOPROTECT’s molecular spikes carry a positive charge that attracts the negatively charged bacteria. Once attracted, the molecular spikes pierce the cell rupturing its cell membrane, and the bacterial microorganism dies.

Is BioProtect safe?

Yes, BIOPROTECT is safe for humans, pets and the environment.
BIOPROTECT contains no poisons, toxic chemicals or heavy metals.
Chemicals such as Triclosan, have been banned for use by the FDA. BIOPROTECT is currently awaiting final approval of it’s Device Master file from the FDA. Once approval is received,BIOPROTECT will be able to be incorporated into all classes of medical devices for the human body.

Once a surface is BioProtect(ed), can it be treated with traditional cleaning solutions?

Yes, all BIOPROTECT(ED)surfaces can be treated with a pH balanced cleaning solution (3 to 10.5) without detriment.

How long is BioProtect effective for?

BIOPROTECT antimicrobial technology works persistently and continuously on the applied  substrate anywhere from 30-90 days depending on the composition of the substrate and the conditions of the environment. How can BioProtect be removed from a surface?

BIOPROTECT forms a resilient covalent bond to the surface of substrates it is applied to. Only destructive abrasion to the surface has the ability to remove this coating.

What is the shelf life of BioProtect?

Unopened the product can last up to 2 years, but once opened it will only last up to 1 year.

How should BioProtect be stored?

It must be stored in tightly closed containers in well ventilated areas. BIOPROTECT cannot be frozen, it must be stored in temperatures within the range 35°F-140°F  (2-60°C)

Where can BioProtect be used?

BIOPROTECT can be used on all surfaces, including porous and non-porous surfaces, unlike disinfectants which can only be used on hard, non porous surfaces. BioProtect can also be incorporated into the manufacturing processes of metals and plastics.

How is BioProtect Applied?

BIOPROTECT has many methods for application including fogging, spraying, padding, exhausting, soaking and more! We recommend BIOPROTECT be applied by a trained professional  who  has  completed  the  Wells Pro-Health  Applicator  Certification  Program.  This  training will ensure proper application and optimal effectiveness of the antimicrobial technology.
